Start with a complete image assessment conducted personally by me, which includes style personality and body line analysis in addition to a mini color analysis. That will leave you with the power of knowing what best suits your style, body and coloring and gives you the tools to apply it in your everyday life. You will receive a personalized workbook to refer to.

Move on to a Personal health, fitness & lifestyle consultation by a certified fitness professional, including physical assessment, nutrition advice & exercise planning.
A two-hour consultation - 1 hour dedicated to fitness (exercise demo, workout session, equipment use demo, etc…) and 1 hour dedicated to nutrition & lifestyle habits. You will receive a plan to help you get started on a healthy regimen.

Now that you know how to take care of your body and you have the tools to dress it to look great, we’ll dedicate some time to your face, where you will learn how to apply your makeup to suit your face shape using your own makeup kit, get a grip on the colors to suit your skin tone and never worry about shopping for the right makeup again. One hour will be dedicated for your face mapping with a makeup application exercise and another for shopping for the right kit with certified makeup artist.

To top it all, your crowning glory will be the last step so you can wrap it up in ultimate style. Update your looks based on professional advice and not just a mere need for change. The hair color, cut and style will be tailored to suit your specific face shape and coloring as discovered earlier in the consultation (image assessment).

10 tips for being a smart bargain shopper!

It’s that time of the year for the DSF in Dubai again and I know most of you are waiting for the mega sales to start your shopping spree. The good news this year is that you will have a lot of time to do just that as the shopping festival is extended over a period of 2 months!! Here are some handy tips to guarantee you do land a few BARGAIN pieces and wear them out, and how to avoid impulse buys.

1 PLAN AHEAD. Have a shopping list for what you really need so that the items you buy won’t become orphans ending up alone in your closet. Be prepared for 2 or more (ok maybe 10) “surprise buys” like that irresistible over sized patent leather purple handbag and those fabulous green ankle boots… which you don’t really need but get anyway. That’s ok as long as they are wow, cheap and you know you will wear them at least a couple of times.

2 Get familiar with the COST PER WEAR formula. It applies even on sales items. Calculate the amount you spend on a fabulous designer suit divided by the times you wear it per month (let’s say eight) versus the amount you spend on a cheaper not so great suit, which you might wear only twice. You will discover that you have saved more buying the expensive designer suit. Same rule goes for sale items. If you are not going to wear them out, it’s not a bargain.

3 You have to LOVE the items you buy and not just “like”. If you don’t love it, you DON’T HAVE TO GET IT just because it’s so cheap.

4 Get the RIGHT FIT. If it’s not your size, it belongs on the rack. The earlier you start in the sales period, the more chances you will find your size range.

5 Don’t forget YOUR COLOR PALETTE as any great item that is in your size and style but not your color will not be so great once you try it home.

6 Make sure to head to the DESIGNER SHOPS FIRST, as this will be a chance for you to buy the items you couldn’t afford at full price. And most of the time, designer means better quality, which pays off in the end. If you manage to find your desired outfit, then that’s a real bargain.

7 Stack on your NEUTRALS as this is a perfect time to get the basics in shape again. Source out the best quality basic wardrobe items in your neutral colors and you will have a base to build your wardrobe on.

8 Now is the time too to grab all those outrageous creative items and accessories that you know can change the look of any outfit. You can GO WILD with colors and shapes that are the trend, but make sure they are in your color palette and proportions too.

9 DON’T take more than 8 items with you to the fitting room. Try to arrange complete outfits or visualize how they will look with items you already own.

10 Last but not least, wear comfy shoes, easy to change clothes and stay hydrated as you might end up walking the mall all day. (Carry your high heels and the correct underwear in your bag). Make sure to stop and have a power lunch because in the end we want you to KEEP GOING on conscious decisions! Enjoy J

Forties Glamour

The makeup is inspired by 40s starlets. The key feature of the look is red lips; however the look can be adapted from day to night. During the day we can tone down the lips by using a creamy red lipstick sealed with a transparent gloss, or use a red lip gloss for just a hint of color. For night time look, use vibrant, striking ruby, bordeaux and deep scarlet shades of lipstick, don’t forget to emphasize the eyes with mascara.

Nude Look

This trend is adapted for the modern career woman. The complexion is mostly nude and matte, rather than shiny, including the lips. The overall appearance is one of effortless simplicity, with a good dose of natural, youthful health.
Light foundation is applied to the face and dusted with translucent powder, whilst lips are then covered in a little transparent salve or lipstick in neutral shades like pink, peach and beige, which are then coated in natural gloss to lift them. Use neutral eye shadow and mascara to define your eyes.

Black Winged Eye

This look is for the tough modern woman; the Black Winged Eye is inspired by the 1940s, yet it has a distinct contemporary feel.
The upper lid is highlighted with a thick or delicate sweeping wing, which is created with liquid black eyeliner. For the night time look, white eye crayon is used inside the lower eye to enhance the dramatic blackness of the wing above. Thick coatings of mascara should then define the eye.
The total effect: romantic yet futuristic; and above all, confident and sexy.
